WEEDS
Weeds are never good. They can be a simple unsightly nuisance or a serious fire hazard, like Buffelgrass. Either way you can end up with city fines or a property lien if not addressed.

Unfortunately for us with our weather patterns and climate, weeds can take over a yard in just a few days!

This is hard to stay on top of, but all the hassle can be prevented our pre-emergent weed treatments.
How does it work?
The RKC difference
Most companies in the Tucson area are applying the same or similar materials, yet they don't yield the same results. These varying results are attributed to a lack of thoroughness and quality. All of the following are factors that are required to achieve control of weeds;

- Accurate measurement of the treatment site
- Proper material mixing
- Viable materials, herbicide dilutions that were mixed within the last 24 hours
- Well maintained and calibrated equipment
- Uniform application
- Timing treatments with optimal weather conditions
- Preparation of application site, if any are necessary
Failure on any one of these will yield less than desirable control.
When all of these requirements are met weeds are still likely to appear. The difference is two weeds that can be pulled as you walk to the mailbox vs. pulling weeds all Saturday afternoon or paying for weekly landscaping visits. As more twice a year pre-emergent applications are made weed sprouting will diminish and weeds will be become less and less likely.

Unfortunately sometimes there are situations where excessive rainfall following a treatment may reduce it's effectiveness, or areas of the application site where water ponds. In these instances our materials are pushed down past the first inch of soil, where seed germination occurs. In these cases you will still be covered by a 6 month warranty.
